Halfblood daughter of V'kass Dyran Lord Hernalth and his human concubine, Serina Death; a fiery-haired girl of both beauty and a formidable magical potential ( inherited after her father), a natural born leader. Her mother died during delivery and she was fostered by Alamarana, brought up and educated with the dragon's son - Kemanorel.
During her teens she was expelled from the Lair because of her attack on one of the Kin - Rovylern, who many times bullied Keman. She met a trade caravan led by Kel Rosten and became the property of Lord Berenel; bought by two wizards (see Rennis Draythorn, Zed) during a slave auction, she was taken to the Citadel, where she became a student of master Denelor. Due to her lack of caution while transporting herself and friends to the Citadel, she let the elves discover the building's location and thus contributed to the outbreak of the Second Wizard War.
Unhappily in love with her half brother Valyn. After his death she falls in love again, this time mutually, in Lorryn

Alamarana flew over it when she first brought Lashana to her Lair.

One of the wizards who took part in the first clash between the elves and halfbloods. He worked on a biological agent that would kill the elven lords. It was he, whom many considered guilty for the spread of a mysterious disease that killed most of the Citadel's inhabitants. Yet, according to Kalamadea - Father Dragon, elves, not Ander, should be blamed for the creation of this particular disease.

Halfblood; elder brother by one year of Sheyrena an Treves. Son of Viridina an Treves and Garth, her trusted human slave. He could exercise and develop his magical abilities undetected because his mother had and cast on him the illusion of being a pure-blooded elf. He escaped with Sheyrena when, after Myrenateli spread a gossip that it was Valyn, not his servant Mero, who truly was halfblood, the Council began to successively check the young elven lords by casting at them illusion-dissipating spells. With his sister he joined Lashana, with whom he fell in love, and her companions. House crest: moonbird

One of the elven maids mistreated by their fathers, who was presented by Shana with the metal jewelry of the Iron People.

Daughter of V'Sheyl Edres Lord Fortren. Lord Dyran's espoused, then divorced wife. Due to a fall from a horse in her childhood - mentally handicapped. Her marriage contract with Dyran was set up to be fulfilled once two living children had been produced; one to be Dyran's heir, one Edres's. Concubine of Lord Berenel who gave her to his underling, Lord Jondar. Accused by a rival of stealing a valuable gem from her elven lord, she was sent as punishment to the slave pens. She took care of Shana and told her about Halfbloods. Appearance: a tall black-haired woman with bright brown eyes.

It should be noted that, apart from the fact that the human and elven magic is not similar, the inheritance of magical abilities in these two races is also considerably different.
Elven parents of poor magical ability give birth to offspring of equally feeble magic. The same rule can be applied when both parents are powerful mages. Children who have a powerful father and a mother that is poorly endowed with magical abilities (or vice-versa) are usually average mages.
For humans, on the other hand, the inheritance of magical abilities is totally random. Power may deteriorate or vanish in one generation, to return in full strength in another.
Children of mixed, elven-human parentage ( the halfbloods) are always more powerful than either parent and can wield magic associated with both races.
